factors such as type 2 diabetes or dyslipidaemia who will now have

to an innovative treatment option,” said Sanofi CEO Jean-François Dehecq.
Acomplia (Rimonbant) was first available to buy in the United Kingdom. Acomplia (Rimonbant) is now available in Argentina, Austria, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland and Germany.
In February 2006 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued Acomplia (Rimonbant) with an approval letter. However, there were some concerns which Santofi needed to address before the medication was allowed onto the market. These were completed on October 31 2006.
An FDA will meet on June 13th to discuss "the efficacy and safety of new drug application (NDA) 21-888, proposed trade name Zimulti (Rimonabant)." The results of this meeting will also be aired on June 13th.
It is speculated that the outcome of the FDA panel discussion will be the
approval of Zimulti (Rimonbant) in the US.
