Tenutate is a short term supplement to diet and exercise to help treat obesity problems.
It is best prescribed for people who have failed to loose weight on diet and exercise alone, and their obesity is caused by their eating behaviour.
Tenuate pills come in two forms: Immediate release (25mg) and Controlled release tablets (75mg). Tenuate is a long acting drug that continues to release the drug for an extended period of time, making it an effective appetite suppressant. Tenuate works by stimulating the sympathetic nervous system to help reduce your appetite and food intake.
Controlled release tablets come in 75mg, which is taken once daily. Immediate release tablets come in 25mg, which is usually taken 3 times a day. Both tablets should be taken 1 to 2 hours before a meal. Evening doses are not recommended because it may cause insomnia.
